Beautiful

imgresI was recently sent a copy of the documentary “Dark Girls”, it pained me to watch beautiful Black Women express how they grow up hating the colour of skin, how they wanted to white, or lighter skinned. It prompted me to ask why do we, yes we, the Black community promote “colourism” with our own community as much as we do. Black people are hosting “Dark Skin vs Light Skin” beauty pageants, music artists want  light skinned video vixens in music their videos, both Nigeria and Jamaica have a skin bleaching epidemic, and we have Black Women currently spending an estimated half a trillion dollars on hair. Considering that the median income for Black families is a measly £32,000 p/a we have to question why with have this obsession with all that is light?  What is most distressing is that it is Black people who our openly promoting Colourism and Shadism. Supporting the Dark Skin women aren’t sh*t,  is shock jock Tommy Sotomayer with his bunch merry men only to happy support these opinions that light is right and chant that Dark Skinned women all that is wrong with the world  The “Dark skinned sister” is now some evil ugly reprobate worthy of nothing but having unwanted children!

TeamLightSkinStupidThis trend is taking deep root in our younger generation with #teamlightskin trending on twitter it’s no wonder our young people are growing up mixed up, confused and consumed with this image that light is right & black get back. Young Black Boys are openly declaring that they won’t date Dark skin girls, Black Girls refusing to acknowledge themselves as “Black” and choosing to define themselves by their nationality from as young as eight!. More and more young people are removing themselves from the one thing that has always united us – our skin colour and are now defining themselves by  nationalities “I am Caribbean, I am British, I am American.

imgres I used to think that the issue was with Black Women and their desire  “to want to be white”because the simply hated themselves so much they just had the old coconut issue. However over recent times my views have changed, I don’t think its Black Women’s desire to be to want to be white, at all the desire like that for any other woman of any other race its the desire to be beautiful. Unfortunately for us, that beauty, we want,  has been typified for centuries by white Europeans and that is the issue with the notion that in order to be seen as beautiful we need light skin and  have straight hair. If this was NOT the case, we would have no skin bleaching epidemic,  there would be no issue with creamy crack and weave addiction. We would accept our Black skin and kinky hair with no issue at all. You only have to look around and see that vast amount of Black Women of all shapes and sizes and social standing experiencing these internal prejudices and self harming in order to be seen as beautiful by our own families, our men and the wider society,  to then get ridiculed in the process. As I scrolled through Google images, looking for images of Beautiful Women I found this, how can I a Dark Skinned Black Women relate to those images as being a representation of me? This is about holding a “Victim mentality” either it’s about recognising the elephant in the room.

The images of beauty we see via our beauty magazines and television are of white or light skinned women, even our most famous celebrities are whitewashed for adverts and album covers.imgres For every 100 image, I see possibly only 10% are of women of colour and when they are they LIGHT. Do I sound angry, I hope so because I have every right to be angry. I live in a world that still does not recognise the beauty of the Black Woman, and a community that is so riddled with internal prejudices. I don’t need White Woman telling me or the world that I am beautiful but thank you all the same Olive Cole for standing up and saying something that for some reason many fail to properly acknowledge!. What I and many other Black Woman really need most is our own community to embrace that we are beautiful. No wonder so many Black Women  feel the way they do if you are subjected to Colourism within your own community and if when you pick up a  magazine such vanity fair they pop you on the backside. At least Vogue was honest enough to admit that Black doesn’t sell in the mainstream and created an All Black Issue but still most featured models are Light and White . We are a rarity in the mainstream and when we are featured we are considered “exotic” never just beautiful in our own right in our own Blackness. So I get the desire and understand the obsession I am not saying its right however  if you are told from your earliest age that everything that is beautiful is everything you are not, then as an adult you are definitely going to want to look like what you are told is beautiful.

969284_474245442694973_1501284804_nHow do we change this and move forward?  Firstly we need to accept that we have made mistakes by accepting the European images and trying to attain to them we have, to be honest. We need to  teach our children especially our daughters that black is beautiful no matter what shade, no matter what hair texture, we need to be the example of beauty that they see. If you are rolling with lace fronts and bleaching cream think about the message you are sending to your eight-year-old!  To our son’s we need to challenge them when they succumb to peer pressure and begin with the “I don’t date Dark Skin girls” remind them who their MOTHER is. We cannot rebuke our children if all they see is mum sporting blonde weaves and blue contacts! Its not their fault if we the adults are setting these warped standards.  In our families we must stop calling each other names relating to our skin colour “high yellow, uptown colour, tar baby, blick etc” this only further perpetuates Coloursim. These terms and jokes are a result from of years of oppression, colonialism  and the white supremacy image of beauty. Challenge the comments like “pretty for a Sark Skin/Black girl”, seriously what the heck does that even mean? and the “Pretty” all hair crap! ALL hair is pretty BLACK people are the ONLY people with coily hair texture on the planet. How special and unique is that?  I welcome the natural hair revolution and I salute all Vloggers & Bloggers challenging Beauty myths.

So remember Sisters, when you adopt that straight Remi 24 inch blonde weave, you are  knowingly feeding into the image of white beauty and overshadowing black beauty you too are part of issue/problem/sickness. We need to support the Black publications supporting the BLACK is BEAUTIFUL image put down the mainstream magazines why support a publication that doesn’t even acknowledge your own beauty. Accept the responsibility that our  imagesconsciousness that needs to change and the we see ourselves and each other.  It’s surprising that the BLACK Man is hailed as handsome, for his dark skin and chiselled looks, yet the Black Woman isn’t why? Because we are BEAUTIFUL and it’s no secret celebrate yourself and all that we are. Finally, ALL of us need to stop comparing our beauty to European beauty standards. Be Black, Be Proud, Black Pride.

There’s nothing Noble about King Noble

King Noble

Earlier this year I was in a Facebook group created by King Noble, a self-proclaimed, Sex God. Who likes to promote what he simply calls “nudity” in the midst of his teachings on Black Supremacy.  As I scrolled through the group I found a variety of pictures posted by King Noble, usually of Black  women in  sexual positions (usually but not always NUDE) encouraging people to join his site where he promotes Black Supremacy and Rulership.

I noticed one thing about King Noble and that is he like to use words like “nudity”, as opposed to “naked”, and erotic as opposed to “sexual”. Giving the impression, that this is “Art”, and an expression of female body. This would be all good and well however from the postings and pictures I have been privvy too, I have to say the man promotes nothing more than his own version of “Afronongraphy” basically porn with a bit of Afrocentric clap trap thrown to keep the masses following him. Under the guise that we are to be comfortable with our sexuality and sex, He defends his use of “nudity” by saying that only 10 to 20 per cent of his imagery on his website is “nudity”  and the reason why MANY in the conscious community  find it “offensive” is due....”having a semi Christian mind-set, indoctrinated by White Supremacy”. (King Noble explains the nudity on www.kingnobleblackrulership.com).

967774_1479551922280149_823807248_nI wrote him an open letter in January 2013, after seeing him heavily promote “The Black Goddess Strip Show” his response was by way of an inbox message, to which he got a two worded reply. I was deeply saddened by his sexploitation of Black Women, drawing in the masses to donate to his website, under the guise of doing something for the community. I’ve yet to see his works for the community, other than a host of YouTube video’s, although I could be mistaken.  His rhetoric is about the community not being accepting of nudity, now “nudity” is one thing, however, his posts and pictures are not just of nude women, they are both nude and provocative. He advocates all kinds of sexual deviancy and especially likes sex acts between women, applauded by many of his male supporters and followers. Incidentally, he believes RAPE is a revolutionary act I am seriouslyconfused.

King Nobel’s response to my open letter.

King Noble & Natty Isis

I find it extremely contradictory that he uses Black Women to promote is website given the fact that in the porn industry Black Women face racism and extreme sexual derogation. whereby both their gender and colour are inseparable and she status of dual subornation to White Supremacy. There are two main major porn feature studio’s Vivid & Wicked, porn stars such as Jenna Jemmerson work for such studios, with her surgically enhanced body, prefect hair and make up, it is the White Woman is the glamour face and PR of Porn. With access to guaranteed and regular work, slick marketing which leads to high-level income and visibility, through sponsorship, endorsement, modelling contracts. Black Women, on the other hand, do not have access to 1184922_393040484151151_2140517759_nregular and guaranteed work, super slick marketing  leading, to high-level income and visibility. The majority have to take part in what is known as “gonzo” porn (straight sex, no talking, no glamour) where they receive fewer perks and less security. If anyone has seen the infamous rape and total humiliation of a Black Woman on “Ghetto Bangers” we can clearly see that any self-respecting leader of the Black community would not want to see the Sister (misguided or not) sexually abused in such a way. One could argue that they (the Black Woman) are doing porn anyway, why not let them do it for a movement and get paid?  No woman would sincerely want to be degraded and raped. Furthermore, what previous leader do we see sexploiting the Black Woman to promote the movement? Did Marcus, Martin or Malcolm? No, these men HONOURED Black Women.  They did not pimp them out, nor post pictures of them on social media, nor try to convince the masses that pornography, is somehow sacred sexuality. Mr Noble seems to completely forget that.

10419780_1479551918946816_1123166058_nThe image of the Black Woman throughout history has been one of an unchaste sex beast, I cannot see him doing anything different that the Slave Master who would strip and poke the Black Woman as if she were mere cattle at the local market. His group has 22,000 plus members, both men and women, many (men) post pictures of Black Women usually sexually explicit when challenged a barrage of insults fly, what I can only conclude is his following are those of low income and low to moderate education. and devoid of simply reasoning skills.  I have to ask what about the “children”? Are we meant to bring our children into a movement that is lead up by a “Black Sex God”? What happens when our daughters come of age, are they to going to be plastered around the internet in sexual positions dubbed as simple “nudity”? I am certainly no prude, however I do believe that there is a line and this dude has crossed it. There is nothing wrong with modesty or nudity sisters are free to express their “Inner Hoe” but this dude want us to be voyeurs all in the name of being “in touch with our sexuality”?. We talk about the over sexualisation of mainstream media but is this ok because its all being done in the name of Afrocentrism?

10449615_1479551932280148_1708853781_nAt some point, someone has to stand up and say “this is a rouse“, this is nothing to do with the Black Supremacy, Nation Building or Restoring the image of the Black Community, this is straight up PIMIPING, of Black Women by a Black Man for his own purposes. Where are your donations going? What is being built? Why is no-one questioning his blatant disrespect and USAGE of the Black Woman for his own agenda? And where he finds these women only God knows. I once saw a video on Youtube (due to the legalities of a custody battle the video has since been removed) of a father talking about the hovel, his child was living in whilst the mother was residing with King Nobel in what he described as a “sex cult”and King Nobel’s refusal to allow him the return of his child.  We could argue that this mockery within our community can only exist if stupid women allow themselves to be treated in such away. On the 1157610_393037200818146_1641045777_nflip side, who knows how these women have been treated in the past, through gender-based violence. It’s a two folded debate which has many causes for us as a community both externally and internally however if we as community, continue to support and donate to this ridiculous concept of Afronography, we are ALLOWING the continued abuse and manipulation of many sisters.

940964_342462875875579_1331887884_nRecently he claimed his site was down,  he had his latest marketer and promoter “Natty Isis” making video pleas for donations of $50, the site was indeed up as the begging video was on the site, however if you don’t know you anything about internet hosting, you might donate, thinking your money is actually helping the community, when in fact its lining his pockets. Why doesn’t King Nobel get a bloody job and build his community like the many other conscious teachers and leaders out there? Why does he need to sell sex to make a movement? The women in the pictures are  mothers, aunts, sisters, nieces, cousins and somebody’s daughter but all we see is them ho’ing it for the movement, which movement is that may I ask….the only movement he knows and that friends is the one in his trousers.1094_315469291908271_1987499581_n10396362_1479551908946817_2088082761_n

I wrote this article and included the pictures purely to demonstrate the degenerate mind-set of this self-confessed leader/God, and this is what we need to be mindful of, these control freaks whose sole agenda is POWER & CONTROL, nothing more nothing less, and to get as much ass as possible. I will most likely be called an agent and in some respects I am, I am an agent of  Ma’at and all things right and this just isn’t right! All pictures are from King Nobles Public Facebook Profile.

You cannot find a “Good Man” because YOU are NOT a “Good Woman”

good-black-man-t-shirtThere is a common hymn I heard sung by the MIA Goddess Blackwoman, and that is “I cannot find a GOOD man”…I submit to “Mz Goodaz, Mz GoddessHotStuff, Mz MyBigsuperButt”, that the reason why is simply because “YOU are NOT a GOOD woman”. If you are fighting in public, have a trail-a-load of children with a variety of different men, your so broke not because you don’t have money but because you wear every last penny you have, on your head and back. If you have NOTHING to bring to the table of a relationship expect that which is below your waist. If you think that a good body is enough to stimulate a man, if your “out n bad” lifestyle is A-OK, then this is the reason why you attract men after your own kind. And lets not just think these MIA’s Goddess Blackwomen are just Ghetto/Road rats, this mentality/condition, affects women who are HIGHLY educated as well, however they are slightly more eloquent, more subtle in their dealings, which proves that education and intelligence are two totality different things.

So Sisters, let us reason, how can you attract a GOOD man if you go around saying “there aren’t any good men”, where are you looking? Who is in your cipher? What kind of men do you KNOW? Do you know any GOOD ones? Have you looked at the kind of women they are with, and asked yourself are those women like me? When approached by GOOD men how do you deal with them? Bups them for every penny they have? Expect them to treat you like royalty, whilst you treat them like poop? Until you examine YOU you have no right bashing the brothers, for your choices and decisions.

I pose a series of questions to the MIA Goddess Blackwoman here they are:

  1. Why should a GOOD Man, settle with you and then have to take care of other men’s children? Why are some of you women happy to have children for men with whom you are SLEEPING with? Notice I did not say “in relationship with”, I said SLEEPING with, I get it can happen once, but why are so many women repeatedly going around renting out their womb’s? (side note doesn’t anyone worry or care about life long STI’s?) And then talk about you cannot find a GOOD man, when 59% of Blackwoman have mulitple babydadies.
  2. Why should a GOOD man, who is financially stable, have to link up with you and your messy finances? There you go with your bad credit, overdue overdues, constantly living off your overdraft and buying your weekly shopping on credit cards. Or worse still, living off the government and dressing in FAKE designer clothes, you are already demonstrating where your priorities are and its not long term sister. Given the challenges financial challenges  faced by Blackwomen means we cannot AFFORD to be irresponsible with our money.
  3. Why should a GOOD man, meet you looking one way a night and wake up to you in the morning and you look nothing like the person he laid down with? Hair gone, contacts gone, lashes gone, breast gone, butt gone? I am not the hair hat police, I don’t have an issue with weaves or extensions that argument is often used to belittle and ridicule women. The issue is when you do not even look like a Blackwoman, you have gone out of your way to look like a European, and then talk about your “keeping it real” your LYING, you are not “keeping it real” in fact you are misleading men into thinking you are someone you are NOT, its false Advertising,
  4. Why should a GOOD man, settle down with you, if you look like your ALL that and some on road, and when he arrives at your home its a hovel? What kind of woman lives in a home, that is so dirty she has infestations? It is not ok to live like a PIG, and have a dirty, smelly home, if you keep your home like that a man can only wonder what your knickers gusset looks like, and dirty environment is demonstrative of a dirty mind.
  5. Why should a good man settle down with you, if  he has no reason to date you, get to know you, and chase you? Because you are happy to jump the dating process and have sex with him, in his car, at your home, at his home, in a bush, in dance, at his boys house? A GOOD man will usually think WOW if she has done this with me, who the heck else has she done this with? Why are you promoting the stereotype that the Blackwoman is an oversexed, sex beast?
  6. Why should a GOOD man settle down with you if he already has a woman? Why you are still entertaining him, washing his clothes, cooking him food, renting your womb out having his children, If he is with someone else, but SLEEPING with you? Then I must add he is NOT a GOOD man.
Is a GOOD man, to now take responsibility all of YOUR children and they are NOT his?
Is a GOOD man, to take responsibility all of YOUR children and they are NOT his?

Your vagina being “tun up”, is not going to bag you a good man, you cannot use your looks or body to think this is going to “get me a good man, a really really good man”...It can get you d*ck, but not a GOOD and decent man who is going to consider you being his WIFE. If you act like your body is the best thing on this earth then you will attract men who are only interested in your BODY…and once they have hit that body there is NOTHING left to stimulate them, so they MOVE ON, children or not.

Its time to become a GOOD woman, put the notion of relationships out of you head now, and stop focusing on MEN, focus on YOU clean up your home, you finances, focus on your children, invest in them, repair and sort out the relationships, where possible, with their fathers, set some standards in your life for YOS.  You might just have to do a complete 180 degree turn in your life, raise the bar and take control, to become the kind of peoples you want to meet, and you know what that, GOOD man will find you.

MIA the Goddess Black Woman.

oot-a_hot_ghetto_mess1The Black Woman is in crisis, we have issues, we behave badly, we look like porn stars, we are not looking after our children, we are devaluing ourselves. We don’t want the truth, though, we want fluffy fairy cakes, with lots of Hotep Wa A’shug, and hugs and kisses, we want to be called Queens & Goddesses but take a look around we don’t speak like Queens or act like Goddesses. These terms are now just WORDS, without any meaning, just empty terms, show me a Queen who acts like a sewer rat?

We use obscene language, we fight like men in the street, in fact, we now fight men, we expose our sacred parts online and have the audacity to call ourselves “GOODAS” and we allow Black-Women-Fightingmen who don’t appreciate our value into our lives, our beds and we make children with them. We refuse to get a job or an education, and when we do, we behave like we are “all that and more.” We aspire to be like washed out, drug taking, oversexed celebrities, and teach our daughters to be like us and our sons to endorse us . We are offended when we are called “bitches hoe’s and whore”, yet we behave is a manner and fashion that is more befitting of a bitch, hoe and whore than that of a Queen.HotGhettoMess

We have descended into the debauchery and decadence of the West by adopting an image of beauty that is not ours, a culture that is not ours and lifestyle that is not ours. And if someone tries to tell us different we call them out, because we cannot be told sh*t, because we know it all. When we are called out on our behaviour we divert the subject, “it’s not our fault”, we say we are VICTIMS, we justify it, and we defend it. Instead of admitting we need healing and restoring. We use our history, we use society, we use religion, we even use white supremacy, to defend our cognitive dissonance instead of admitting that WE now suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

EPIC_FAIL_-_AFRICAN_GUYS_DANCING_AT_NOTTING_HILL_CARNIVAL_2011_001We listen to men who are only too happy to endorse, and enable our self-destructive bbehaviour, because they affirm our whorish behaviour, they affirm our sexuality, like that, is ALL we have to offer, they tell us that this is our sacred sexuality, and we are to not be like Christian’s (prudish), stop listening to that BS, there is nothing, I repeat nothing, wrong with MODESTY. Sacred sexuality is not about looking and acting like a porn star, there is nothing sacred about PORN, stop being so gullible into believing this BS. And if anyone tells us differently, they are JUDGING us, and of course, ONLY GOD can judge us. How is slackness godly (Ma’at), please explain? They endorse our Ride or Die attitude, with songs like “My Chick Bad”. I ask the question of who is going to look after your children, when you dead or in prison?

You might not like what I am saying, that is ok, I am not saying it for likes, props or attention. I am saying because it’s the truth. We are all on a journey, yes I can see that and for the most part, respect that. But if I can see from experience that, that journey you are taking is going to lead you into the land of LACK OF; respect, esteem, dignity, integrity and character isn’t my moral duty, my responsibility to say “Stop”? Hood-Rat-Shit_1289538511173How can we say we are about the community if as women we are actually destroying it with our own behaviour, our own hands? I hear it coming but…”it’s happening in other races” but we are not talking  about other races? We are talking about us, the BLACK women, it’s like saying “White women weave” yes they do, but they weave their own hair texture and colour. Us? we weave everything BUT own our texture and colour we end up looking like BO BO the clown and have the audacity to say we are “QUEEN this and GODDESS that”. We have to stop trying to divert the matter at hand with these silly comparisons, We have become a mockery, our ancestors did not fight for our freedom, for us to turn around and SPIT on their graves by what we are presenting now as the “GODDESS BLACKWOMAN.”

It’s time for us to get HONEST to begin to examine ourselves, set standards, be examples, clean up our act, and restore the image of the BLACK WOMAN. We see our sisters behaving like rats, yes I said it RATS, daily on sites like WSHH, Facebook, YouTube to name but a few. We have to stop endorsing it, defending it, posting it, and liking it. Instead, we must start to build back, run workshops, outreach, purchase books and give them to younger women, host sister circles, allow the elders to speak, listen, accept take responsibility. It’s not good enough to say “NOT ALL OF US are like that” No, we have a moral responsibility and duty, so applies to US ALL, we are our SISTERS keeper if you see a sister acting out online, offline SAY SOMETHING! (You might need to apply some fluff though) and I know some religious sisters, who are Sunday saints and weekday demons, this applies to you too! So, WE have to DO whatever it takes to restore the Black Women and in turn, we will restore our sisterhood.
